The Downside of Smoking
Many smokers have a love/hate relationship with smoking. Smoking brings pleasure to their lives, yet up to 70% of smokers want to quit. Clearly, because you are here reading these words, you want to quit, too.
The best way to start on the road to a tobacco-free life is to identify the reasons you want to quit.
Everyone has different reasons. For some, it's health. For others, it's financial. Some may face an ultimatum from a loved one, such as a spouse or child.
Try to think of the things you don't like about smoking. Come up with as many as you can.

Reasons I Should Quit
Example: Smoking is bad for my health.

Keep these reasons in mind whenever you have difficulty fighting your desire for a cigarette. And you will have those desires. But you can beat them.
Print your list, fill it out and keep it with you. Post it on your coffee mug, or any other place where your willpower may not be enough to fight your urge to smoke. Tape it to your pack of cigarettes, or keep it in your pocket in place of your cigarette pack! This list serves as a constant reminder of your long-term goals during those moments when your motivation is low.
Knowing why you have taken on the challenge to quit smoking will help you keep your focus. You can do this.
