Viruses And Asthma

Viral respiratory infections can result in severe and prolonged asthma attacks. In fact, viral respiratory infections, such as colds and the flu, are the most common cause of attacks that last more than a few hours.

By preventing these infections, you can avoid these attacks. Influenza and other flu-like illnesses can increase and prolong attacks. Since the viruses that cause these illnesses are often passed from person to person, avoiding sick people is the obvious first step.
