If you are having blurred vision while taking meclizine, it is likely to continue as long as you use the medication. Meclizine is usually prescribed for short-term use, so you should ask your doctor if you can stop taking it.

If you are having blurred vision while taking meclizine, it is likely to continue as long as you use the medication. Meclizine is usually prescribed for short-term use, so you should ask your doctor if you can stop taking it.

Meclizine acts as an antihistamine (like Benadryl and Claritin) and can have similar side effects. Antihistamines often cause antichlolinergic side effects. This includes flushing of the skin, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, and blurred vision.

Although visual changes are relatively uncommon with meclizine, any antihistamine (including meclizine) can cause these side effects.
