Spoon this sweet treat over low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt or angel food cake for a delicious dessert.
1 1/2 C. assorted dried fruit, cut into chunks (dried cranberries, cherries, apricots, apples, raisins, currants, prunes, etc.)
1 cinnamon stick
2 strips of orange peel made with vegetable peeler
2 strips of lemon peel made with vegetable peeler
2 C. apple cider
- Place ingredients in medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes until fruit is soft and cider thickens. Serve warm or at room temperature.
