Aetna InteliHealth's Editors and Writers
Brian Berkenstock has been a writer/editor with Aetna InteliHealth since 1998. Before joining the staff, he was an editor with SmartHealth, a custom-publishing firm, and prior to that with Bullfrog Films, a distributor of educational media.
Toby Brener joined the InteliHealth staff in 2006 as a writer/copy editor. She coordinates and edits the Harvard Commentaries and manages content throughout the site. Before joining the staff, she was a senior editor and researcher at Prevention magazine (Rodale, Inc.) for 12 years. She earned a doctorate in Health Education from Temple University.
Lisa Ellis is news director of Aetna InteliHealth. She is responsible for news content, Harvard news reviews and the home page. She also is the dental news editor, overseeing the consumer website Simple Steps to Better Dental Health (www.simplestepsdental.com) and the Aetna Dental professional site (www.aetnadental.com). Before joining Aetna InteliHealth in 2000, she was a newspaper journalist, including 14 years as a writer and editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Amanda George is a project manager for Aetna InteliHealth. She oversees HTML e-mails and interactive tools, as well as various content areas on the site. Before joining the staff in 1998, she was on the editorial staff of the medical journal Clinical Orthopaedics & Related Research. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in English from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Larry McGrew is head of editorial operations for Aetna InteliHealth. Before joining the staff in 2000, he worked for 15 years as a medical editor with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins and W.B. Saunders, acquiring and developing textbooks and electronic products for the medical and health professions.
Nancy Volkers joined Aetna InteliHealth in 2000, and has worked for the National Cancer Institute, the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and the University of Maryland. Past freelance clients have included the National Institutes of Health and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Nancy writes and manages information on a variety of health topics, including dental health, pharmacy and allergies.
P.J. Skerrett is a senior editor for Harvard Health Publications and editor of the Harvard Heart Letter. He was senior editor for the Division of Preventive Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, news editor for HealthNews and a high-school science teacher. He is co-author of "Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy: The Harvard Guide to Healthy Eating," and other books on health and science.

Ty Eggenberger began contributing to InteliHealth in 2000. A freelance writer and editor, he has worked for Springhouse Corporation and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in the medical and health fields.
Sara Nielsen Gambrill has an M.F.A. from Emerson College in Boston in Creative Writing. She has written for the Harvard Medical School Family Health Guide Web site, as well as for Harvard Women's Health Watch. She also has written about a wide range of health topics for various custom-published HMO newsletters.
Debra Gordon has contributed to InteliHealth since 2000. She is a health care journalist with more than 15 years experience. She has worked as a medical reporter for newspapers and as an executive writer and editor for Rodale Inc., where she coauthored the book, Maximum Food Power for Women and edited a series of women's health books.
Rhonda B. Graham was formerly a writer and editor for InteliHealth. Prior to joining InteliHealth, she worked for 15 years as a newspaper reporter. She's also been a freelance writer for Heart and Soul, a health, beauty and fitness magazine for African-American women and Emerge magazine.
Stacy Kennedy, M.P.H., R.D., L.D.N., C.N.S.D., is senior clinical dietician at Dana-Farber Cancer Care/Brigham and Women's Hospital. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics and a minor in psychology from Indiana University. She completed her dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital and received her Master of Public Health in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina.
Julie Kostecky was formerly a writer, editor, copy editor and project manager at InteliHealth, overseeing the content and organization of various areas on the site. Kostecky came to InteliHealth in 1999 as a veteran editor with experience handling medical textbooks, professional journals and various medical articles.
Sue Landry was formerly a writer and editor for InteliHealth. Before joining InteliHealth in 1999, she was a newspaper journalist for 16 years, most recently as the medical reporter for the St. Petersburg Times in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Michael Shaw was a writer and editor with InteliHealth. Before joining InteliHealth, he was an editor with Springhouse Publishing for more than a decade, developing and editing books for nurses and allied health professionals.
Peter Wehrwein began contributing to InteliHealth in 2000. He is editor of the monthly Harvard Health Letter of Harvard Medical School, where he has worked in health information since 1994. Prior to that, Wehrwein covered medical and other issues for several newspapers.
Stephanie Whyche was formerly a writer and editor for InteliHealth. She spent 18 years as a newspaper reporter and copy editor for the News Journal of Wilmington, Del. concentrating on health and related subjects. Trained in psychiatric nursing, she holds a master's degree in public health/mental health from Tulane University.
