I have iron deficiency anemia, and have had colonoscopy and an upper GI endoscopy. The results of both were normal. I have plenty of iron in my diet. I don't have heavy menstrual periods (in fact, they're very light). Could my anemia be caused by donating blood? I usually give blood every eight weeks.

Donating blood frequently can definitely be the reason that you now have iron deficiency anemia. Red blood cells are one of the main places that iron is stored in the body. So loss of blood is the leading cause of iron deficiency.
