There is no relationship between the use of the corticosteroids (prednisone, Medrol and Olux) and the breast lump.
Most permanent hair dyes contain a chemical called paraphenylenediamine, or PPD. Although most people can tolerate PPD, some people can have severe allergic reactions. People allergic to PPD should not use any permanent hair dyes. About one in four people allergic to PPD are also allergic to ingredients in semi-permanent dyes. These dyes are called oxidation dyes, and someone who has had an allergic reaction should avoid both. Metallic and vegetable hair dyes do not contain PPD.
People who have had a reaction to hair dye should make certain that their physicians and dentists know about it. PPD is closely related to some of the anesthetics (numbing drugs) used by dentists and physicians.
