Answered questions from the past 2 years:
.
I have been diagnosed with gallstones. What foods can I eat to help them dissolve so I don’t have to have surgery?
.
I am concerned that drinking a cup of coffee in the morning will slow my body from absorbing the iron. If I drink a cup of coffee at 8:30 a.m., is it relatively safe to take my iron pill around 10:30 a.m.? Or should I stop drinking any coffee?
.
My doctor wants me to lose weight so my blood sugar can go down. What type of food, fruits and vegetables should I eat? I’m 5’8” and I weight 262 pounds.
.
Why would someone crave and eat chalk? I have been eating large amounts of chalk (sidewalk chalk) since my pregnancy. My baby is now four months old and I am still craving it.
.
Is it safe to take cod liver oil during pregnancy?
.
I got back from a vacation in Jamaica, and it looks like I have bites from sand fleas. They have puss pockets in the middle of a red, itchy area. And I’m itching terribly. Do they go away — and if so — how long? And how do I treat them and make sure they go away for good?
.
How much is a safe level of calcium to take daily so I do not get kidney stones?
.
When I think of the serving sizes suggested for a healthy diet, I don't think I can eat that much at a meal and be comfortable. What happens if children are encouraged to eat more than they are comfortable with … even healthy foods? I see this happening in the school setting, where food trays are overly filled with healthy food.
.
I am interested in a plant-based diet. Do you have any information on this?
.
I'm 48, and weigh 240 pounds. I'm on a weight-loss plan but I'm struggling with what is my best options for breakfast. I typically have low-fat yogurt with granola each morning — but think I should lay off the dairy. What's a good protein for me? Are eggs alone good enough? I don't have time each morning to make a meal.
