To keep costs down, consider generic brands or purchasing diapers at discount stores or online. Cloth diapers offer some environmental advantages and can save you money if you wash them yourself. You may find that you need to change cloth diapers more frequently. How many diapers you'll need per week will depend on a number of factors. You'll probably use a large box of disposable diapers each week at the beginning. If you use cloth diapers, you'll need at least 2 dozen (24) to start, plus pins and plastic or cloth diaper covers.
