Controlling Pain

An occasional headache we all get. But severe, daily pain that can be caused by cancer, arthritis, back and neck disorders, or nerve damage — that's something else entirely. That pain may be so intense it has been known to destroy marriages and careers, and even lead to suicide.

Controlling chronic pain enough to improve quality of life is often a difficult challenge. The usual pain pills are a starting point, but they offer only partial and temporary relief.

Body, Mind, And Pain
There's a powerful connection between a person's emotional state and the amount of pain he or she experiences. Managing pain combines this connection with effective medical therapeutics.
