I have hemachromatosis caused by excess iron in my body. To get rid of the iron, I get a pint of blood removed every 6 months. At my most recent bloodletting, a clot formed in the vein at the spot in my forearm where the needle was. Do I need to worry about this? Am I at risk for other clots and a stroke?
