Nursing While Pregnant

Many women nurse successfully while pregnant. It's a good idea, though, to discuss the issue with your health care provider. If you are at risk of premature labor, or if you have had frequent miscarriages or unusual uterine contractions, you may be advised not to nurse while pregnant. If you are able to nurse while pregnant, you may experience nipple tenderness, changes in the consistency and taste of the milk, and a reduction in your supply. This is normal.
